Wizardry
The Lords of Erzlaw have a long-standing relationship with wizards. Over the centuries the wizards have formalized their profession and become entrenched in many kingdoms, including Okallan.
The College of Wizardry, as it is commonly known, has a large presence in Cref. The College District is located just north-east from the City Core. The Alchemy Shop, or "pot shop" is a small outlet in the College District where the college sells potions and fireworks to the public. The college itself, "Arcanum Doctrina", can only be accessed by ship, at a cost of 50 gp. Anyone can enter the college, but only single-classed wizards can access the upper and lower areas.
Playing a wizard is a unique and fun experience in Erzlaw. Wizards are widely respected and accepted, which has led to the creation of formal institutions.
Single-classed player wizards can attend the College of Wizardry in Cref. This has many benefits, the most important being the staffs of wizardry, which are available for free at levels 6, 12, and 18. These staffs give an unlimited attack which is magic missile at level 6, lesser missile storm at level 12 and greater missile storm at level 12. In addition there are magists at the College that sell every known spell and a variety of specialized equipment for wizards.
If a player wizard changes to multi-class, the next time they enter the server they will lose their staff of wizardry and be denied further access to the College.

Sorcery
Sorcery is somewhat rare and mistrusted in Erzlaw, often being associated with the monsters that plague the wilderness areas. There are no formal organizations or benefits for sorcerers, but there are items available on par with what is available for other classes.
Spell Alterations
The following spells, both arcane and divine have been altered as follows:
- Time Stop is area specific
- Continual Flame is not permanent
- Heal and Mass Heal, when used offensively, do one-half of the undead's HP in damage
- Shield spell defends against magic missile and the missile storm spells (lesser and greater)
- Mordenkainen's Sword summons an animated great sword, rather than a helmed horror
- Greater Sanctuary has a duration of 1 round per level
- Bigby's fist spells allow a reflex saving throw
- Magic Missile and Missile Storm spells cannot be maximized or empowered
- Lesser Missile Storm: 10 missiles, 2d6 damage each, max 5 missiles per target
- Greater Missile Storm: 20 missiles, 3d6 damage each, max 5 missiles per target
